COURSE DESCRIPTION

Why the Snatch?

The snatch is one of the premier barbell tests for mobility, coordination, strength, and patience. There are few movements in sport that require the wide range of mobility for your full body, and this course will serve as an introduction into developing the most mobile, comfortable, and strong positions in your overhead squat and ultimately your snatch.

What is this course?

You will be taken through the step by step discussion and application for mobility requirements, positional awareness, and the corresponding drill work to develop an understanding of how the snatch can be best performed to maximize both efficient movement quality and athletic performance.

How is the experience presented?

Course participants will enter into a first person lecture and movement practical to develop competency in:

  1. Mobility Considerations
  2. The Set Up Position
  3. The Pull
  4. Overhead Positions
  5. Practical Applications
